We are excited to announce the expansion of the Smart Energy Community (SEE) research project to Seoul, following our success in Bristol and Hong Kong! We have facilitated an impactful workshop gathered 34 enthusiastic participants eager to explore innovative ideas for their community.
The Envisioning Workshop aims to engage the community in conceptualizing innovative development ideas for their living spaces. This interactive model encourages neighbours to collaboratively envision the future of their community, utilizing their insights and practical thinking to achieve a zero-carbon target.
Workshop Highlights
The workshop utilized a community engagement model that encouraged participants to conceptualize the future of their living spaces. Through practical and innovative thinking, attendees set aside preconceived notions to envision a low-carbon community.
Activities Highlights:
• VR Experience
Participants immersed themselves in a simulated world, allowing them to “see” their community’s future through VR technology. They explored how low, moderate, and high solar installations might look in their neighborhoods and identified new potential spaces for solar energy.
• Card Game: “Envisioning Low-carbon Community Card”
Through this engaging card game, participants envisioned the future of their low-carbon community together. Designed by the team at the Asian Energy Studies Center, the game features three types of function cards, allowing participants to accomplish three tasks as they collaborate on sustainable community development.
• Explore the Personalized SEE Online Energy Household Platform
Participants explored the SEE platform which designed to help households monitor their energy consumption real time data, earn ‘See’ Coins via low carbon behaviour, check their monthly achievements and find their e-learning materials.
